About Matt:

Based in Philadelphia, Matthew Thompson has devoted the past several years to mastering the craft of film and video production. A 5-year veteran of film production and a graduate of Drexel University's film and video program, Matthew has amassed a wealth of experience at different studios including The Wealth Channel, Philly.com and Paul F. Harron Studios, as well as dozens of independent films, short films, and live event shoots working in a wide variety of departments. His own films have been recognized for their quality and screened at numerous events and festivals. Some of his most recent credits include working as the 2'nd AC on the indie feature Bearcity 2, working as the DP of "Good Fortune," nominated for Best Effects at the Project 21 2011 festival, "Let Us," a short film he produced and shot for the 48 hour film project Philadelphia that won Best Use of Prop. Matt also volunteered his services for the "Philadelphia It Gets Better" video, in which he served as a producer and the head camera operator.


His most recent self produced/directed film is a 15 minute horror-comedy titled "Hollywood Zombies." It premiered at the Drexel Senior show on May 21 and was hailed as one of the best in the festival. It is currently undergoing festival submission.
